Is Christy Moore set to follow Kodaline by joining Ed Sheeran in Croke Park?
RUMOURS are swirling this evening that legendary Irish singer Christy Moore will join Ed Sheeran on stage in Croke Park tonight.
Sheeran will perform his second Croke Park concert tonight to 80,000 fans.
In last night's gig band Kodaline joined the singer on stage to perform.
In a surprise for revellers, the band sang their hit ‘All I Want’, getting one of the biggest cheers of the night.
However tonight gig-goers could be in for another musical treat, as Sheeran could be joined by the legendary Christy Moore.
Independent.ie understands that Sheeran, who is a huge fan of traditional Irish music, will sing with Moore tonight.
Plans were in motion for U2 to make a cameo appearance at one of the gigs, however despite the eagerness of both acts schedule clashes meant it couldn't happen.
Last night Sheeran tweeted: 'Bloody hell that was mental".
He later said: "Thanks you Ireland".
Far from the rock'n'roll lifestyle, the singer has been spending time with his Irish grandmother during his visit here.
The singer will perform to around 160,000 Irish fans over his two gigs this weekend.
