'I get hate from online trolls who don't like my mum or brother', says Roisin O
She is a member of one of Ireland's most famous musical families, but being the daughter of Mary Black and the sister of Danny O'Reilly hasn't always worked in Roisin O's favour.
The Dubliner (right) has carved out a successful career for herself since the release of her debut album, The Secret Life of Blue, in 2012 - but she is not immune to online trolls.
"I think everyone gets online hate," she told the Herald.
"Some people don't like The Coronas or they don't like Mary Black, so then they assume they won't like me and they would make a comment.
"There's an undercurrent of that sometimes."
The How Long singer said she tries not to let the online hate get to her.
"I try not to take it too personally," she said.
"When I put up my video the other day on YouTube, someone was saying how they didn't like my nose ring.
"I don't know why you would bother. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all.
"However, most people have been really supportive."
The singer's latest music video, Give It Up, was released recently with her front and centre.
But she admitted that if she had her way she would not star in another one of her videos again.
"I always feel awkward," she said.
