Guns N' Roses show Slane-bound fans what to expect with epic promo video
Guns N' Roses have released a video showing Slane-bound fans what they can expect this Saturday.
The legendary rockers kick off the European leg of their Not in This Lifetime Tour on Saturday, May 27 at Slane Castle.
In order to build anticipation and whet fans' appetite, the band released a promotional video with some cracking footage from previous gigs.
Guns N' Roses have also hinted that fans can expect another special announcement this Wednesday.
It's almost a quarter of a century since the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees last played Ireland and tickets for the Slane Castle gig sold out within minutes of going on sale last December.
Fans have been warned to arrive at the venue early as the band are expected to take to the stage at between 7 and 7pm.
Patrons are being urged to use public transport and arrive at the venue by 5pm.
Organisers are warning of significant traffic delays and to add on two additional hours to your expected travel time.
Support on the day comes from Brighton based drum n' bass duo Royal Blood, American grunge star Mark Lanegan and Dublin band Otherkin.
Concert promoters MCD have released a list of banned items that fans are not permitted to bring to the venue.
Light sabers, sky lanterns and selfie sticks are among the prohibited items, as well as tridents, iPads, food, animals and backpacks.
In an official statement, MCD said: "All the above items will be confiscated and will not be returned, Anyone resisting confiscation of restricted items may be evicted.
"Only pocket sized camera are permitted for personal use only. Cameras with detachable telephoto lenses will not be allowed through arena entrances."
MCD also warned that crowd surfing and moshing will not be permitted and fans found taking part in such activities "will be removed from the venue without a refund".
