Ed Sheeran plays secret Ruby Sessions gig at Doyles pub on D'Olier St

Ed Sheeran surprised 150 lucky Dubliners last night when he played a secret gig for the Ruby sessions in Doyles pub.
This morning the English singer-songwriter tweeted, "Played a secret gig for the Ruby sessions last night in Dublin. Always the best gigs of the year for me" with this photo attached from his Instagram account:
The Ruby sessions is an acoustic gig held in aid of charities the Simon Community and Oxfam every Tuesday in Doyles on D'Olier St.
Ed previously played the Ruby Sessions in September 2011 and joins a list of performers including Paulo Nutini, Mumford & Sons, Kodaline, James Blunt, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and Tom Baxter who have all performed at the venue.
The singer is in Dublin to play a live in-store appearance and signing at HMV on Henry Street today at 12 noon.
Forty lucky fans who won tickets will meet the singer as he plays songs from his new hit album 'x'.
