It's official - Ireland really, really loves Ed Sheeran. Not that we needed proof, but today he's celebrating over a year in the Irish Album Charts top 10.

His acclaimed second album 'x' has remained in the top 10 for 53 weeks and could well hang on a few weeks longer.

The album, which was last year's biggest selling album, hit the number one spot 12 times and is heading towards being 10x platinum in Ireland.

On the global map, it's the number one most streamed album.

Given it includes his four platinum-selling singles, 'Sing', 'Don't', 'Thinking Out Loud' and 'Photograph', it's not all that surprising it has managed to dominate for so long.

Ed is currently touring the US and will return to Ireland to celebrate iwth fans for two sold-out shows in Croke Park on Friday July 24 and Saturday July 25.
