Dubliner Baz Halpin is the man behind Katy Perry's madcap halftime Super Bowl show
Dubliner Baz Halpin is the man behind Katy Perry's spectacular half-time show at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Perry's creative director on her Prismatic tour, Halpin has also designed shows for Pink and Taylor Swift. He also put together Britney Spears Planet Hollywood tour in Vegas.
And on Sunday he was the man who realised Perry's vision with a giant metallic tiger, shimmying sharks, and the woman herself catapulting through the air like a giant firework.
Halpin was also allegedly the reason why Perry and Taylor Swift fell out after Swift reportedly refused to hire him again if he worked with Katy on the Super Bowl.
Such is the demand for the man.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter about the show, he said, "I used to say, 'That's ridiculous, we can never do that.
"Now I just say, 'You want to fly in on a giant banana and burst into flames? We'll make it work.'"
