Tickets for Coldplay's Croke Park concert have sold out in just 30 minutes.

Fans had a tense wait as they struggled to bag tickets to the band's July 8 gig in Croke Park next year, as part of their Head Full Of Dreams world tour.

Tickets officially went on sale at 9am and were priced at €69.50.

A second Croke Park date hasn't been confirmed by Coldplay or MCD but the band are updating their Twitter feed with news of second dates in other European cities, including Brussels, Paris and Cardiff.

Fans who braved the frenzied, 30-minute rush for tickets took to Twitter to share their disappointment, or - if they were lucky - their joy.
