Following her packed performance at last weekend's Electric Picnic, Cathy Davey has just announced a headline Irish tour.

Davey will play 11 dates in Ireland starting in October.

Her new album "New Forest" is set to be released this Friday, and Davey will play at Tower Records on Dublin's Dawson Street at 1pm.

The singer songwriter gave a special intimate performance to help launch the 12-year-old Electric Picnic's newest space Hazelwood.

Davey, who co-founded My Lovely Horse Rescue, and her boyfriend Neil Hannon searched for a replacement for the classic tune, ‘My Lovely Horse’, from Fr Ted at the festival.

Davey brought her rescue horses, donkeys and dogs to the My Lovely Ranch area of Trailer Park.
