Brian McFadden cancels gig due to 'serious vocal illness' after night out in Lillies
Former Westlife star Brian McFadden pulled out of a gig in Belfast, a day after a night out with pals.
The solo singer (35) was due to take to the stage at the city's Empire venue on Sunday night, but was forced to cancel "due to serious vocal illness".
The postponement came just 24 hours after he was seen in Lillies Bordello hanging out with pal Keith Duffy.
He had also bumped into former Westlife pal Nicky Byrne and his wife Georgina on the same night as he caught up with old friends. "Lovely to see Nicky & Georgina Byrne and the rest of the Baldoyle massive last night. Been a long time."
The star (inset) took to his Instagram after pulling the plug on his sell-out show to apologise to fans and explain what had happened.
He said: "My voice has decided to go on holiday" and posted a video saying: "I can't believe my voice is like this".
He was then inundated with messages of fans wishing him a speedy recovery.
However, one cheeky fan said: "Georgina (Ahern), did you and Nicky break Brian last night? He can't perform tonight in Belfast!".
The Empire Belfast put the cancellation down to "serious vocal illness" and said a new date for his show would be shortly announced for 2016.
