Bon Iver cancels European tour but Irish gig will still go ahead
Bon Iver has cancelled its upcoming European tour but Irish fans will still see the act perform at Forbidden Fruit.
The news of the cancellation was announced on the band's Twitter account with "personal reasons" cited.
The US band was due to tour their 2016 album 22, A Million in Europe, starting in Paris on January 22 and finishing in London a month later. No Irish dates were scheduled for the tour.
It was announced last month that Bon Iver would headline Forbidden Fruit music festival this May Bank Holiday weekend.
Festival organisers have confirmed that the gig will still go ahead.
Bon Iver will also curate the line-up on the Monday, with Flying Lotus (who will play accompanied by a '3D show'), Lisa Hannigan, The Staves, Gordi and Paul Thomas Saunders all set to play.
