Beyoncé and Jay Z present united front on stage for opening night of 'On the Run' tour
Jay-Z and Beyoncé performed together on stage during the opening night of their massive joint 'On the Run' tour at Miami Gardens in Florida.
There were no signs of discord between the couple in the wake of 'Liftgate,' when Jay-Z and Solange Knowles had a heated argument in a lift after the Met Gala, which resulted in Solange lashing out physically at the rap star.
Tensions were said to be running high prior to the tour, with one insider telling Grazia, "They might be sharing a stage, but while on tour they'll be living practically separate lives.
"Tensions between them are worse than ever meaning they will be travelling between venues independently, staying in different hotel suits and even having separate entourages.
"They'll also have individual dressing rooms, so the only time they're together will be while they're performing."
In the wake of the leaked elevator altercation, both Jay Z, 44, and 32-year-old Beyoncé have been the subject of infidelity rumours, with some even claiming the rapper fathered a love child.
The pair have put on a united front in public, but sources close to them says it's just a facade with neither looking forward to their upcoming gigs.
"They've both been dreading the tour. Cancelling wasn't an option, so on the surface it's going to be business as usual, they they're both struggling with trust issues after the spate of cheating allegations.
"Jay's given Beyoncé unlimited access to his texts and emails to try and keep the peace, but a lot of their communication will be through assistants," added the source.
Beyoncé and Jay Z will be on tour in the US until August 6 before jetting off to France for two European gigs.
