Former Voice of Ireland judge and Saturdays singer Una Healy is set to release a solo album after signing a deal with Decca records.
The star has penned her own material for the album, much of which is about her husband Ben Foden.
The loved-up pair, who recently made the most of their fourth wedding anniversary celebrations with a trip to Sardinia last month, have two children Aoife (four) and Tadhg (two) together.
“There are love songs to Ben. I’ve written lots of songs about Ben. There are some obvious ones about him,” Una told the Irish Sun.
“Ben’s not embarrassed. He loves it. He sings along to them now.”
She added: “Ben is a good singer. But what he cannot do is harmonise so it could be quite difficult... He has to sing the melody and I’d harmonise.”
The Tipperary songstress also insisted that her solo album does not mean that her band The Saturdays are splitting up.
“It’s not a departure from The Saturdays.”
“We are still a band but it is time for us to focus on ourselves. But we are 100 per cent not breaking up.”
