Battle of the Bands winners join Longitude line-up

Longitude has just announced the three winners of the local Battle of the Bands competition who will be supporting artists like Ben Howard and Massive Attack at the Marlay Park festival.

Indie rock band nobody's Heros, and singer-songwriters Aaron Rowe and Rosa Kearns are the three acts who were chosen as winners of Canvas, the Grainstore's Youth Arts Committee, Battle of the Bands.

Rosa, who has been gigging for the past six years was recently scouted by The X Factor.  She's currently working on her first E.P and counts Nirvana and The Eagles amongst her many influences.

Nobody's Heros were formed five years ago and their influences include artists such as Paolo Nutini, Ray Charles, The Beatles and John Legend, whilst Aaron Rowe, a regular on the Dublin gigging circuit is also planning the release of his first E.P. next year.

They were chosen by public vote at the final of the competition on June 29th at the Grainstore, Cabinteely.

Other Irish acts peforming over the three day festival from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 July include Hozier and James Vincent McMorrow.
