Muse cancel Istanbul date after attempted coup in Turkey
British rock band Muse have cancelled an upcoming concert in Turkey after the recent attempted military coup.
They were due to perform in Istanbul as part of the Drones world tour.
The band posted a message on Twitter saying: "We regret that in light of recent capricious events in Turkey, we have decided to cancel our concert which was scheduled to take place on July 26th."
The statement added that fans would be able to get a full refund.
"Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We look forward to seeing our Turkish fans in the future," the message concluded.
They will perform in Romania next and will headline Germany's Rock am See festival on August 20 to close the tour.
Muse were one of the headliners at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
