IT's little over a year since Jedward were queuing up for autographs at record stores. But on Friday the twins will have a HMV appearance of their own in Dundrum in Dublin.

Last April brothers John and Edward dabbed their faces in war paint in tribute to their favourite singer Mundy when he launched his album 'Strawberry Blood' in HMV on Grafton Street.

"I can remember the two of them asking to have their picture taken with me. I thought it was kind of strange they had gone to the bother of painting their faces like mine but they seemed real fans and knew all my songs. They weren't half bad singers either. I had no idea I was face with face with what was to become the Jedward phenomena," said Mundy.

However, the Birr-based singer said the two 17 year olds wanted more than just autographs. "They asked me for advice on how to break into the pop business. They seemed so confident and sure it was going to happen for them. At the time I thought 'Bless' -- then six months later there they were on 'X Factor'. I was sitting there at home going, 'It's those twins. They've done it'," he said.

Jedward's appearance at HMV Dundrum shopping centre takes place on Friday at 4pm where they will be signing copies of UK no 2 single 'Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)' featuring Nineties icon Vanilla Ice.

HMV Dundrum manager, Mark Johnson said: "Jedward were one of the most divisive acts ever to have appeared on the 'X Factor' and tend to create massive excitement wherever they go. We expect a huge turn-out for this event and Jedward are only available for a short period of time so we encourage fans to come down early to get a wristband to ensure that their entry to the signing is guaranteed."
