Morrissey is set to headline the Hop Farm festival, it has been announced.

The singer will join Patti Smith, Lou Reed and Iggy And The Stooges on the bill of the independent festival.

Festival boss Vince Power said: "I'm very pleased to announce that Morrissey will be headlining the Saturday of this year's festival. We have so many great bands on the bill so far with many more to follow, the line up and the show this year is going to be fantastic."

The two day extravaganza takes place on 1 - 2 July in Paddock Wood, Kent.

Also on the line-up are The Noisettes, Newton Faulkner and The Bluetones.
