Misha B faced hurtful comments after her X Factor stint

Misha B has said she didn't believe her manager when she was told she'd be supporting Nicki Minaj on tour.

The star appeared as a contestant on The X Factor in 2011, but after much controversy she was voted off in the semi-finals.

She said of the support slot: "I didn't believe my manager when she told me. I couldn't believe it. I remember a year or so ago talking with a friend, and we were saying how mad it would be if we even managed to meet Nicki Minaj, and here I am supporting her."

Misha was portrayed as a bully on The X Factor, with judge Tulisa Contostavlos telling her publicly to "put aside the attitude".

Misha said: "It's a TV entertainment show, so a lot of that is out of the contestants' hands. Judges have a lot more power than the contestants and the comments that were made, well... Louis apologised a lot, and I still haven't spoken to Tulisa.

"I was worrying about how I was going to come across, and we were under a lot of pressure. We went from being people who walked down the street without anyone caring who we were, to people watched by millions, all of who have an opinion about you."

Misha said she had some hurtful comments online after being on the show.

But she added: "The way I look at it is that there are a minority of people who sit behind a screen and say the nastiest thing they can think of, and then there's the majority of people who don't. Concentrate on the majority."

:: Misha B's new single Do You Think Of Me is released on November 4. She supports Nicki Minaj on her UK tour until November 7.
