Michael Flatley steps out in style for wife Niamh’s 40th birthday bash
MICHAEL Flatley finished this week’s Riverdance 20th anniversary celebrations on a high with a party for his wife’s 40th birthday.
Niamh O’Brien was treated to a posh dinner at Shanahan’s On The Green last night along with several friends and family members.
She looked half her age in a black mini-dress and skyscraper heels.
The blonde bombshell teamed the all-black ensemble with statement red lipstick.
Members of The Lord of the Dance’s troupe and close friends arrived at the top-class steak restaurant with gifts and flowers.
“It's going to be a special night,” a Flatley friend told the Herald. “I love coming to this place, the food is great and the atmosphere fantastic.”
They continued the celebrations through the night in Dublin city centre.
The couple had arrived at the Shelbourne earlier in the day with their son, Michael Jnr. X Factor judge Louis Walsh (inset) was also spotted near the Dublin hotel.
This week, the show that launched Flatley's career, Riverdance, marked its 20th anniversary.
The Late Late Show celebrated the event with footage of a special continuous Irish dancing troupe winding its way through Montrose studios which lasted for more than two minutes.
Since the first electric performance during the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, Riverdance has been seen live by 25 million people in more than 465 venues worldwide.
Produced by Moya Doherty and directed by John McColgan, it will return home to Dublin for a limited run at the Gaiety Theatre next month.
