The 66-year-old singer - who completed an 18-date residency at Planet Hollywood last year - will return for 24 performances of his Rocktellz and Cocktails show on February 13.

Meat Loaf said: "I had so much fun doing the show in the fall, I couldn't wait to extend my time in Vegas when they asked me to.

"For me, the show is more than just another concert because the Rocktellz and Cocktails format allows me to add something different.

"I'm able to bring together music, acting and theatre and do things you can't normally do when you're on the road. I get to have a lot of fun, and it definitely shows."

The Bat Out Of Hell singer revealed his plans to give up touring during his Last At Bat tour of Europe last year.

He said: "This is really it, I just don't want to travel any more. I outweigh [Mick] Jagger by about 100 pounds and that counts for something. He hasn't seen the wear and tear."

The I'd Do Anything For Love star has suffered several health scares in recent years. He was forced to cancel a tour in 2007 because of a cyst on his vocal cords. And in 2011 he collapsed on stage in New Jersey and had to be revived with oxygen in hospital. He later blamed the episode on past concussion injuries and his asthma.

Meat Loaf has previously revealed his wish to die on stage during an appearance on Piers Morgan Tonight. "I take the stage as if it's the last thing I'm ever going to do and that's how I perform every night," he said. "That's what I've always said - if I'm going out, I'm going out on stage."
