Leona Lewis to start ethical range

Monday November 23 2009

Leona Lewis may be riding high at the top of the album charts but she's already planning her next move - an ethical clothing line.

The vegetarian and animal rights campaigner has long bemoaned the difficulty in finding stylish leather-free clothes and accessories.

Leona, 24, told the Daily Mirror: "I'm on a mission - I'd love to promote a line of non-leather bags and shoes that are affordable."

She added: "There's so much I want to do. I've always wanted to have my own fashion line, and that's something I want to focus on next year."

But before Leona can turn her hand to fashion there's still the small matter of her first UK stadium tour next Summer.

She admitted: "I'm excited and nervous at the same time."
