LADY Gaga's cover of the classic festive song White Christmas has been posted online, ahead of the release of her special Christmas-themed EP this weekend.
The 25-year-old American singer's take on Irving Berlin's yuletide ditty, popularised by Bing Crosby in 1942, includes an extra verse.
Halfway through the track, Gaga explains her reasons for extending the song:
"So as you can tell, I'm very outgoing and a little bit shy, but I've decided that this song is just too short. It's such a beautiful Christmas song but it's only one verse, so I added an extra one."
The White Christmas cover will be included on Gaga's forthcoming EP, A Very Gaga Holiday, which will be released digitally this Saturday, 26 November. The EP will also feature a cover of Nat King Cole's Orange Coloured Sky, alongside paired-down versions of two tracks from her album Born This Way, which came out earlier this year.
Earlier this week, Gaga revealed her own holiday habits. Speaking to Good Morning America, she said: "I just like to be with my family. We just love to eat all day long and watch whatever TV special is on, watch old movies."
