Lady Gaga: I'm insecure inside

Lady Gaga finds confidence by channelling her 'inner Gaga'

Lady Gaga has confessed she wakes up feeling insecure every day, until she has channelled her inner Gaga.

The outrageously dressed and hard working singer has stormed the charts since she burst into the spotlight early last year, but told Rolling Stone magazine she is not always the confident diva she appears.

Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, said: "When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl. then I say, 'B****, you're Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today'."

The singer and performer claims she would never let her fans, who she calls Little Monsters, not see her as her larger-than-life stage persona, regardless of the circumstances.

She said: "If I were to ever, God forbid, get hurt onstage and my fans were screaming outside of the hospital, waiting for me to come out, I'd come out as Gaga."

And Gaga takes inspiration from pop icon Michael Jackson, who never forgot he was a star, even when he was badly injured when his hair caught fire.

She said: "Michael got burned, and he lifted that glittered glove so damn high so his fans could see him, because he was in the art of showbusiness. That's what we do. I don't even drink water onstage in front of anybody, because I want them to focus on the fantasy of the music."
