Kid Rock is teaming up with a symphony orchestra for a benefit concert.
The US singer-songwriter - who used to be married to Baywatch star Pamela Anderson - will perform with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra at Detroit's Fox Theatre on May 12 in a bid to raise a million dollars for the orchestra.
Kid Rock, who grew up and still lives in suburban Detroit, will also perform with his own band.
He said: "As a musician, and of course a Detroiter, I am proud to be supporting this longstanding cultural institution."
The star is known for dabbling in musical styles from hip-hop and hard rock to country and Southern rock, and his hits include Picture and All Summer Long.
