Kerrang! nominations announced
Jared Leto's rock act 30 Seconds To Mars and Paramore lead the field at the Kerrang! awards.
Both acts have been shortlisted for four awards at the annual bash, officially titled the Relentless Energy Drink Kerrang! Awards 2010.
The Hollywood star's band and five-piece Paramore go head-to-head for best video, album, international band and live act.
British acts Bullet For My Valentine and You Me At Six have three nominations each for the rock mag's prizes which will be handed out on July 29.
Paramore, fronted by Hayley Williams, see their track Brick By Boring Brick up for best video while Brand New Eyes competes for best album. 30 Seconds To Mars have Kings And Queens in the video category and This Is War up for the album title.
Mars' frontman Jared said: "Wow! Very grateful to be included. It's no secret that we have a very special relationship with a wonderful family of vagabonds travelling the world with us."
Hayley said: "I'm especially excited to be nominated for best live band. That means the world."
Also competing for the hotly contested best album prize are Bullet For My Valentine, You Me At Six and Biffy Clyro.
This year's Awards will be hosted by Corey Taylor from Slipknot and Stone Sour and Scott Ian from Anthrax and The Damned Things.
