Kate Bush will likely score her first UK number one album in nearly 30 years with new record Before The Dawn, the Official Charts Company has predicted.

The singer-songwriter released a live album of tracks from her 2014 Eventim Apollo London residency - also called Before The Dawn - on Friday.

At the midweek point, Bush's album has 5,000 combined sales, ahead of last week's chart-toppers Little Mix and their effort Glory Days, which has slipped into second place.

Bush's last chart-topping album was compilation record The Whole Story, which was released in November 1986 and reached number one in January 1987.

If the Before The Dawn continues its trajectory and tops the charts, it will be the British musician's fourth number one album.

The Official Albums Chart top five at the midweek stage also includes Michael Ball and Alfie Boe's Together in third, Elvis Presley's The Wonder of You in fourth and new entry Starboy by The Weeknd in fifth.

Over on the Official Singles Chart, Clean Bandit are primed to hold top spot for the fourth week with their single Rockabye, a collaboration with Anne-Marie and Sean Paul.

However, Canadian hitmaker The Weeknd is dominating the musical landscape, with 18 tracks from Starboy in the top 100 in the Official Singles Chart. His highest-charting track, also called Starboy, features Daft Punk and is at number three after being in eighth last week.

US hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd's Black Beatles has held onto its number two spot for another week and Little Mix's Shout Out To My Ex has slipped down from three to four.

Say You Won't Let Go by former X Factor champion James Arthur is at number five.
