Kasabian's Tom: Simon like Riddler

Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan has joked that Simon Cowell is like Batman's foe The Riddler - claiming he brainwashes TV viewers.
The singer said the X Factor supremo's tactics are like those of the villain, played by Jim Carrey, in the movie Batman Forever.
He told Absolute Radio's Dabbl service: "He's got this device in the film and he sucks everyone into TV and kind of brainwashes them - and that's exactly what they've done."
He added: "Riddler puts this thing on this patient's head and it draws him into TV, so that's what Simon Cowell has done, he's basically drawn everyone in and robbed them."
The singer is no fan of the effect the X Factor has had on the music industry.
"That's the power of TV and that's the way they're selling music now. He's clever and that's the way he's done it. But that's a totally different thing to what I do, so if he wants to do it like that he wants to do it like that," he told the online user-controlled station www.dabbl.co.uk.
