Jepsen: I want to be Cinderella

Carly Rae Jepsen wants her Cinderella moment to be a lasting one

Carly Rae Jepsen has said she hopes her success will last - as she wants to be "Cinderella for life".

The Canadian singer found fame with her massive hit single Call Me Maybe but she confessed she hopes her career isn't just a flash in the pan because she wants to make music forever, reported Us Weekly.

She told Cosmopolitan magazine: "For me, the goal of music has never been 'I need to be the biggest superstar in the world.' It was 'I want to spend my life doing this, and I want to make a career that I can live off of so I don't have to tend bar and waitress to make this fly.'

"I don't want to be Cinderella for a night. I want to be Cinderella for life."

Carly Rae, 27, also revealed that succeeding in the music industry has been her dream since she was a child.

"This is what I've been chasing since I was seven. I wake up and have to pinch myself," she said.
