Lopez (44), who began her career as a 'Fly Girl' dancer in the early 1990s returned to her music roots in a colourful tribute to late salsa dancer Celia Cruz, who died in 2003.
The mother to twins Max and Emme (five) looked incredible in three different looks - from a vintage style black kimono, to a vibrant flamenco outfit before finally stripping down to a lilac leotard, which showed off her famous figure to full effect.
Her rousing performance, which lasted more than five minutes, received a standing ovation and had the audience on their feet.
She attended the event with boyfriend Casper Smart, while her ex-husband Marc Anthony was also in attendance, his girlfriend Chloe Green was nowhere to be seen.
Last week, the multi-talented performer hit back at claims she's gone under the knife to maintain her youthful looks.
"Sorry Sir, but I have never had plastic surgery of any kind," tweeted the singer in response to a post by Dr Ayham Al-Ayoubi, a plastic surgeon who regrettably posted what he believed to be before and after photos of Lopez. Big mistake.
The star's fans swiftly came to the defence of her natural beauty. Al-Ayoubi tweeted an apology fast, though more half-hearted than heartfelt. "I sincerely apologise to @JLo & her fans. I want to remind everyone it was NOT me who sent that wrong tweet ! it was my assistant." Big move.
With a derriere which sits firmly at the top of a woman's plastic surgery wish list (just behind Pippa Middleton), a make-up brand (Scott Barnes's Body Bling) inspired by her clever use of glow and bronzer to contour, and an addiction to £105 pots of Crème de La Mer face cream (which she uses on her entire body) we can't imagine there's a big calling for any nip and tucks in her life.
