Strictly Come Dancing judge and chart star Alesha Dixon and Enrique Iglesias have also joined the line-up.

They join stars like Robbie Williams, One Show host Jason Manford and James Blunt on the bill for the huge Heroes show.

Singing star Katherine said: "The troops have always been very close to my heart, having visited them overseas many times. It's fantastic that so many artists are coming together to raise awareness and show support of all that they do."

Five-piece act The Wanted, who made it to No 1 with debut release All Time Low, are excited about playing the event on September 12 at Twickenham Stadium in south-west London.

They said: "It's an absolute pleasure for us to be taking part in this show. Our servicemen and women do a superb job and if we can help in any way then that's what we'll do."

Around 60,000 fans will pack into the stadium for the show.
