POP twins Jedward will earn more than €200,000 playing themselves in a stage musical next year.

' Jedward The Musical' is the latest money-spinner for John and Edward Grimes, who turned 21 last month, and are estimated to be worth €2m.

Recounting their beginnings as fame-hungry teenagers growing up in Lucan, the production will chart their rise to fame through reality show 'X Factor'.

Jedward are already being paid €150,000 for 36 performances of Christmas panto 'Jedward and the Magic Lamp', which runs at The Olympia from December 19 to January 6. Producers say that with over half the 40,000 tickets already sold, starting at €22, the twins have already worked their magic on box office receipts for the panto.

But Jedward's earnings this Christmas look to be dwarved by income from 'Jedward The Musical', which unlike the panto, could transfer to the West End and make them hundreds of thousands more.

"Pantos are just for Christmas but this is a stage show starring Jedward which would be embraced by existing fans and yet tell their story to a new audience," producer Stuart O'Connor of Spotlight Productions told the Irish Independent.

Meanwhile, Dublin schoolgirl Sarah Rice and her classmates from St Ultan's National School in Ballyfermot, Co Dublin, found themselves sharing a schoolbus with John and Edward yesterday as the first prize in the Dublin Bus Cool School Run competition.
