An Irish trad band has released a dance video to kick off the bank holiday weekend with a bang.

The Limerick-based group Goitse worked with Super Céilí producer Peter Staunton – known for his remix of Teresa Mannion’s weather report – to create a sunny edit of their single Banjoman Button.

In the clip, a fed-up worker shows off some serious dance moves as he abandons his briefcase at the office and lets loose in the Dublin Docklands.

The track comes from Goitse’s latest album, titled Inspired by Chance.

“Goitse contacted me to collaborate on a remix of one of the tracks on the album,” Peter told Independent.ie.

“We took what was already a great track and chopped it up, adding some more layers and effects to give it a summer dance feel.”
