House-hunting Rick and Paige rock on
Good to hear they're on the same Paige.
Def Leppard guitarist Rick Savage and his beautiful blonde wife Paige are on the way back. The Savages -- who lived here for a good few years before relocating to Sheffield -- are flying into Dublin tomorrow to look at properties that have caught their fancy. "Rick has found two houses in Dalkey and we'll be going to see them," Paige told me. Paige and her rock-star husband's marriage has been the subject of much speculation, with Paige telling me she was seeking a divorce one week and Rick, happily, telling me they had sorted out their differences the next. The Dalkey air will surely do them nothing but good.
Not that the sea breezes round Sandymount seem to be doing gorgeous blonde Fiona O'Brien any harm. The author, who lives in the salubrious southside suburb, was spotted in Town Bar & Grill last week celebrating the publication of her sixth book, The Love Book. Fiona was dining with a "distinguished-looking creative type", according to a fellow diner. She found inspiration for the novel during a visit to see the relics of St Valentine, in Whitefriar Street's Carmelite Church. Sounds a bit spooky if you ask me.
My source close to Princess Fiona tells me she doesn't have an issue attracting men. Clearly not. She has been engaged -- count 'em -- six times and married once. So maybe she could make this mystery man her seventh fiance by popping the question on Leap Year at the end of this month. That will surely help sell copies of The Love Book.
