Sarah Harding has given bandmate Cheryl Cole her seal of approval for the US version of The X Factor.
But the Girls Aloud star, who has swapped her usual blonde locks for an edgier raven-haired look, remained tight-lipped about whether Cheryl has landed a coveted role on the upcoming show.
"It's not my place to say," Sarah said.
"I think it would be very good for her, she'd fly the flag for over here as well, so fingers crossed."
Asked whether the Fight For This Love singer's Newcastle accent could prove to be a problem with audiences Stateside, she replied: "I don't know, you should ask her - ask them actually!"
Sarah - the face of the HTC Incredible S smartphone in matte black at The Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy - also slammed rumours of a rift in Girls Aloud.
"We're very much still a group," she said.
"Nadine [Coyle] lives on the other side of the Atlantic so it's not like we can pop over every five minutes for a cup of tea.
"What can you do? At the end of the day we see her when we see her or whatever. She's always been a bit of a free spirit."
