Grohl debuts supergroup at Sundance
Dave Grohl is to debut his latest supergroup Dave Grohl's Sound City Players at the Sundance Film Festival later this month.
The Foo Fighter musician's new film Sound City, will have its world premiere at the festival at Park City, Utah and Rock Cellar magazine reports the band will perform live on January 18 as part of the festival.
The performance is expected to feature "core musicians and special guests" related to the film.
Among the music stars that appear in the film are Sir Paul McCartney, Trent Reznor, Josh Homme, Stevie Nicks, Rick Springfield, Rick Nielsen, Krist Novoselic, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine, Alain Johannes, Robert Levon Been and Peter Hayes of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, to name but a few.
