The Frames frontman mingled with fans at the opening of the facility in the Liberties.

The Music Studio received grants from SAP Business Objects' corporate social responsibility programme, the South Inner City Drugs Task Force and Dublin City Council's Community Gain Fund.

The new studio is part of the Computer Clubhouse Christmas Showcase which exhibits projects undertaken by Clubhouse members throughout the year.

It is hoped the studio will encourage local children and teenagers to learn how to play an instrument and record music.
