GIRLS Aloud have cancelled a show they were due to perform in Dublin on St Patrick’s day.

The band were due to perform in the O2 on both March 16th and 17th.

Fans who have purchased tickets for the 17th will be offered the chance to transfer to the show on the 16th or one of the Belfast shows three days prior.

MCD have stressed that those wishing to transfer their tickets should do so as soon as possible, as they will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

MCD have blamed ‘production difficulties’ for the cancelled gig – saying there are unforeseen logistical problems getting stage equipment between the UK and Ireland.

It had been reported by media in the UK that ticket sales for their shows there were sluggish.

Sites which offer the re-selling of tickets were offering them at below face value, suggesting very low demand.

Neither of their Belfast shows on March 13th or 14th are affected by the announcement.
