Gavin James: 'I get so nervous… I get massive stage fright'
HE has played some of the world's most prestigious venues alongside acts like Sam Smith and Kodaline, but Gavin James has revealed he still suffers stage fright.
The singer, who counts Ed Sheeran as a fan, is back in town for a sold out stint in The Olympia.
"I get really quiet and I can't think or talk or anything at all," he told the Herald
"I usually just go into hiding in a room, I get so nervous… [I get] massive stage fright.
"It doesn't matter where the gig is or where I'm playing, it's the same nerves. I think it would be weird if I didn't get it."
Following a whirlwind year the 24-year-old returned to his roots earlier this year when he took part in RTE's Other Voices festival in Dingle.
"It was a deadly experience. I love Other Voices, I used to watch it all the time with my dad as a kid, so it was definitely one that I really wanted to do," he said.
Other Voices will air on RTE 2 tonight at 11.15pm.
