Gallagher duets with the Modfather
Paul Weller has revealed that he needs help remembering the lyrics to some of his songs during his live gigs.
The Modfather, who was joined on stage by surprise guest Noel Gallagher on Wednesday night, also said he would never do a greatest hits tour.
He told the Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio: "I haven't quite got to the autocue, no, but I have got a few little prompters on stage these days."
Paul performed a private gig for more than 600 fans at The Relentless Garage in Islington, London, to celebrate his month-long takeover on Virgin Media's Music On Demand service.
He was joined by the former Oasis star for two songs - Oasis track Mucky Fingers and Paul's Echoes Round The Sun.
VIP guests in the audience included the Kaiser Chiefs, Nick Moran and Tim Lovejoy and T4 presenter Jameela Jamil.
Ex-Oasis guitarist Gem Archer also appeared on stage.
Paul's Virgin Media's Music on Demand takeover will air until the end of April.
The 51-year-old former Jam rocker, who has just released his tenth solo album Wake Up The Nation, said of a greatest hits tour: "I could do, but it wouldn't interest me to do that, you know, it would bore me."
