Noah And The Whale frontman Charlie Fink has said he has no regrets about making some of his songs so autobiographical.

The band is currently gearing up for the release of their fourth album Heart Of Nowhere and a UK tour.

Charlie laid himself bare for second studio album First Days Of Spring, which dealt with the end of his relationship, from initial heartbreak through to acceptance via bitterness, anger, booze-fuelled mistakes and misery, with singer-songwriter Laura Marling.

"I've never regretted being so honest on that record, not at all," he said.

"I've always thought it was the right thing to do, although there have been occasional awkward repercussions, but it's fine. It is what it is.

"If you're going to dedicate your life to writing songs you should try to be honest and master the craft as best you can."

:: Noah And The Whale's fourth album Heart Of Nowhere is released on May 6. They begin a UK tour on April 27.
