The 27-year-old, who often shows off her slim figure, sported a bondage-inspired look during a concert in Germany earlier this week.

But she has insisted she does not feel compelled to wear skimpy clothes.

"No, never," she said. "That would not come into it. My management would never force me to do anything, because they know I'm strong-minded.

"I've never been an artist to say 'OK, I'll wear that', or 'I'll wear less.'"

The singer joked she owed her figure to an intense daily exercise regime of high-intensity workouts, boxing and free-running that has become an addiction "better than crack".

And Goulding, who has shrunk from a size 12 to a size 8, said she was more concerned with strength than size.

"I just don't want to not make the most out of my body," she added.

When asked if reports claiming she had breast implants were true, Ellie replied: "No. One thing I'm afraid of is dying, so putting myself under an unnecessary operation, no. If I was ever going to have surgery, I'd probably have a nose job because I've knocked it and banged it and it's got a dent in it now.

"But I wouldn't because what if it went wrong? Sod that. I've got way better things to think about."

She also defended Miley Cyrus' raunchy dance at the last MTV Music Awards in August.

Goulding said: "I like Miley, she's a friend. I was there at the VMAs and it wasn't half as bad or controversial as everyone made out. I was enjoying it."
