Natalie Cole is to be honoured with the Ella Award, following in the footsteps of Ella Fitzgerald, Elton John and Frank Sinatra.
The nine-time Grammy-winning songstress, daughter of legend Nat King Cole, will be given the prestigious gong by the Society Of Singers (SOS), for making her mark in music.
Natalie, who released her 19th album Still Unforgettable last year, will receive her award at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Hollywood on June 1.
"To be honouring Natalie is a great, great privilege - she is absolutely magnificent," SOS president and CEO, Jerry F Sharell said to Entertainment Tonight.
