Sunday at 4pm sees a unique confluence of literary talent on the stage of the Abbey, as Conor McPherson interviews Tom Murphy as part of the Dublin Writers Festival.
One of the most talented of our younger writers meets one of our most talented writers ever, "the nearest thing to a genius that Ireland can boast of", as Colm Tóibín has said.
(Call 01 8787222 or see www.abbeytheatre.ie for tickets.)
Other highlights of this final weekend of the festival include Jennifer Johnston marking her 80th birthday this evening at 7.30pm at the Project Arts Centre, John Kelly interviewing Divine Comedian Neil Hannon, this evening at 8pm at Liberty Hall, and Hanif Kureishi, tomorrow at 8pm, at Project.
(Booking for all those is through Project, at 01 8819613 or www.projectartscentre.ie.)
Sunday at 7.30pm sees a bevy of poets take to the Abbey stage for a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Gallery Press, including Seamus Heaney, Medbh McGuckian, Gerald Dawe and Derek Mahon.
