Doherty spits beer at presenter

A TV presenter put a brave face on an incident which saw her soaked with beer as wayward rocker Pete Doherty spat on her during a live interview.
Pete sprayed reporter Minnie Stephenson as she presented a slot for Five's Live From Studio Five on Wednesday night night.
It left her shaken and the show's host Ian Wright blasted the singer saying: "I hate that geezer - what a complete mug he is."
Pete's Libertines bandmate Carl Barat was being interviewed for the show as they announced the reason the quartet had reformed for summer festival gigs.
But as they talked on camera, Pete - who has a history of drug use and trouble with police - spat a stream of beer at Minnie.
She initially thought she had a drink spilled on her but toughed it out and said: "I've just been splashed with beer again. It is so rock and roll."
Her colleagues in the studio of the weeknight show were dismissive of Doherty.
Kate Walsh said: "Was it him spitting beer on her? That's not on. Don't do that to our Minnie. I like the music but I don't like that kind of behaviour."
Minnie said: "Live TV is so unpredictable you never know what is around the corner and you have to be prepared for anything - a boy in a band's not going to throw me. It's safe to say Pete Doherty is off my Christmas card list," she added.
