Divorce 'hardest thing' for Lopez
Jennifer Lopez has said her divorce from Marc Anthony was "the hardest thing" she has ever been through because of their children.
The star, who had twins Max and Emme with Anthony, said "the pain hurt so much" but she "wanted to come out of it stronger than before".
The pair, both of Puerto Rican heritage, married in 2004 after years of knowing each other, and announced their split in 2011.
Asked if she felt she has recovered from the divorce, Lopez told The Sunday Mirror's Notebook magazine: "Back then the pain hurt so much, but I didn't want what happened to finish me.
"I wanted to come out of it stronger than before. I'd say it was the hardest thing I've ever been through, because of the kids.
"When you're this little scrappy girl and things happen, you just cry yourself to sleep. But when you're responsible for two other human beings and their lives and emotional well-being, that's a biggie."
Lopez previously had a relationship with Ben Affleck and they were referred to as Bennifer.
She has been married twice before to Ojani Noa and Chris Judd, and she also dated Sean ''Diddy'' Combs.
