The Babylon star will perform at the Oxfordshire event on July 3, where he will share the main stage with Noisettes, Jools Holland's act Squeeze and blues guitarist Buddy Guy.
US rock legend Jackson Browne is to headline the main stage on July 4, with The Feeling, Newton Faulkner, Reef and The Blockheads also performing.
The festival's founder Hugh Phillimore said: "I'm thrilled with the line-up for this year's Cornbury Festival.
"I can't wait to welcome David Gray and Jackson Browne to what I like to call my wonderful garden party."
