Christina Aguilera files divorce
Christina Aguilera has filed for divorce from her husband, citing irreconcilable differences, days after announcing the couple had separated.
Court records in Los Angeles show the Beautiful singer filed to end her nearly five-year marriage to music executive Jordan Bratman.
The 29-year-old singer cited irreconcilable differences for the breakup, and is seeking joint custody of the couple's two-year-old son Max.
In a statement announcing their separation on Tuesday, Christina said the pair's commitment to their son "remains as strong as ever."
The Grammy Award winner and Jordan were married in November 2005. Court filings, first obtained by celebrity website TMZ, state the couple separated in September.
