Cheryl in Twitter spat with Harvey
Cheryl Cole hit back on Twitter after Harvey claimed he had been in a relationship with the Girls Aloud singer
Cheryl Cole is involved in an online row with former So Solid Crew star Harvey after he claimed the pair had a relationship.
The singer took to Twitter after Harvey told Now magazine that the pair had got together after her marriage to footballer Ashley Cole collapsed.
She tweeted: "Was this 'relationship' happening in your head @harveyofficial?! Are you smoking something?.." and added that she had met Harvey "once maybe twice at public events and with your wife!!".
Harvey, whose marriage to former Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon collapsed when he had an affair with singer Javine Hylton, said he had "massive respect" for Cheryl but hit back on Twitter.
He said: "Do you actually want me to tweet some of the messages you emailed me @cherylcole pipe down and stop playing the saint in front of your fans."
Harvey told the magazine the pair shared "an attraction to each other's aura" but the relationship stopped when Cheryl moved to America for her ill-fated appearance on the US X Factor.
Harvey's representative said in a statement he "stands by" the comments he made.
She said: "Since the comments were published, Michael has felt that Miss Cole should not have publicly accused him or the magazine of publishing untruths, and in fact should have let this all blow over.
"As a result, Michael has been publicly criticised and condemned by Cheryl via Twitter and the tabloids, but the truth in the article remains the same. Michael feels he should back up these comments and allegations. However, he has no intention of doing so in the press or public domain."
