A LITTLE girl who's battling a rare form of cancer has been given a huge lift by the news that an Elton John-endorsed charity song released in her honour has topped the charts.
Lily-Mae Morrison (4), from Claregalway, Co Galway, is recovering following a life-saving operation to have a large tumour, which was twisted around her kidney, removed.
However, during the operation at Crumlin Children's Hospital, surgeons discovered a further six tumours.
And yesterday Lily-Mae's mother Judith Sibley urged the public to help keep the charity single, 'Tiny Dancer', at number one, insisting the funds raised from sales would most probably pay for specialist life-saving treatment – possibly costing €750,000 – outside Ireland.
