Cee Lo: Music today lacks truth

Cee Lo Green thinks music right now lacks "integrity".
The singer topped music charts around the world this year after his song Forget You - originally recorded as F*** You - became an instant viral smash following its leak onto the internet.
"We need more true to heart, true to life music, with soul, integrity and sincerity. We need these things, it's necessary," the Grammy-nominated star insisted.
"It's imperative to cause a counterbalance to what the industry has become - It's just all product," he added.
Cee Lo's hit is in the running to win the Grammy's prestigious Record Of The Year award next year, but after missing out in 2007 with Gnarls Barkley's Crazy, Cee Lo is trying not to get his hopes up.
"I grew from it. It was a little unfortunate because I felt like we truly deserved that record of the year, but you know, it's cool. We're here again, I get another shot," he said.
But the 36-year-old won't be performing the X-rated version of his song at the glitzy ceremony, which will take place at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on February 13.
"Of course I prefer the original but just about everyone will be watching the Grammy's so I'll do the one which is appropriate for everyone which is probably the cleaner one!" he said, laughing.
