Calvin Harris beats Taylor at her own game and prepares to release break-up song with Kanye West
Taylor Swift may be the queen of break-up songs, but Calvin Harris looks set to play his ex-girlfriend at her own game and is reportedly set to collaborate with her nemesis Kanye West on a new track.
The DJ and producer has been busy in the studio since his break-up with Taylor earlier this month, which appeared to be amicable until photographs emerged of the Shake It Off singer in a intimate embrace with actor Tom Hiddleston.
According to The Daily Star on Sunday, Calvin has reached out to Kanye to collaborate on a track after details of Taylor’s new romance emerged.
“Calvin has been blown away by how quickly Taylor has moved on from him with Tom,” a source said.
“To make matters worse, he found out like the rest of the world through the media.
“He’s currently working on new music and has been milling over some tunes about heartbreak, deceit and lost love.”
Taylor is famous for penning cutting music about her ex-lovers, including songs about Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal and John Mayer.
“Calvin knows Taylor has a history of writing her version of how her relationships failed.
“And he doesn’t want to just be another notch on her guitar neck. Calvin feels that talking publicly is not the way to go, but expressing things in music is a better option,” the source said.
“Kanye is up for doing something with Calvin and now that he’s no longer with Taylor anything is possible.”
